I know I wrote about a month ago, saying to expect a lot of stuff from me, but I haven't uploaded much of anything since then. O_o I feel like I owe y'all an explanation. Simply put, I was a writer before I was a painter, and though I gave up writing a couple of years ago I tried to have another crack at it by forcing myself to do NaNoWriMo this year.

Bad idea!

I lost a lot of sleep trying to make the daily word count goals, trying to churn out a story that I hadn't put much thought into, and I had zero time for my art. I won't lie, it felt nice to write again, so I'm not going to give that up... but I am officially dropping NaNo. Painting is too important to me, and I want to do it every day if I can. My story will always be there when I want to go back to it.

So, yes, I'm working on a bunch of new things right now - including finally getting my hands on a scanner! My camera went through the washing machine last week, and while I was convinced it had kicked the bucket, I asked a friend if I could use her scanner. I'll be picking it up next week. (Of course, I turned my camera on this morning and it suddenly works now, like nothing ever happened to it... miraculous, but I digress...)

Yep. You can expect me to actually deliver on my promise to upload stuff, now. I'm having a lot of fun recovering from my NaNo burnout and trying out several art styles I previously had no experience with.
